pathika tuma, itano kahiyo jāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(Overwhelmed with the agony of her son’s separation, Mother Yashodā sends a message for Him through a wayfarer.) Yashodā Jī says, “Oh traveller! Just say this much to my son that let Him try me one more time. If He suffers in anyway, He can go back. Now I will never shout at my son and no matter how much the gopīs complain, I will never tie Him up with a mortar. Now, I will never detain Him from stealing butter; He can do whatever pleases Him. If anyone in Braja teases my son, I will have him or her bound. Oh passer-by! Convey this message to my son that even if He does not regard me as His mother, let Him come here once, considering me as His foster-mother at least.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that after giving this message for her son to the wayfarer, Yashodā Jī began to cry bitterly, tears running down her eyes in torrents.
