Virah Madhuri · Pad 112
nahiṁ āye priyatama hāya! re
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A virahiṇī says, “At the time of leaving for Mathurā, Shyāmasundara had promised ‘I’ll return day after tomorrow’, but oh!, years have passed, still He has not come. Even after continuously shedding tears day and night, these eyes don’t get dried up. I have been burning through and through in the fire of separation. Oh sakhi! At least someone save me! The wicked papīhā is adding fuel to this fire by repeatedly saying ‘Pī Pī ‘(i.e. ‘Oh Beloved! oh Beloved!’).” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the sakhī says, “Now, not even a single soul is appearing to me as my own except Shyāmasundara.”
