Virah Madhuri · Pad 109

dhīra aba, kaisehuṁ nāhiṁ baṁdhāta

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

A virahiṇī says, “My heart is unable to experience any peace by any means whatsoever without Shyāmasundara. Oh! Oh! Has Shyāmasundara gone deaf that, wandering from forest to forest, I continuously call Him weeping bitterly and yet He does not listen? (To Shyāmasundara) Oh Heartless one! First You bewitched my heart, and now You are betraying me! Oh Beloved! It is not me anymore, but only You, who reside in my soul. That is, being totally engrossed in Your separation, I become completely oblivious of myself. These obstinate eyes saw Your eyes and were instantly defeated, and after having lost themselves, they lost even the body.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Absolutely unable to sleep even for a moment, I keep awake throughout the night.”
