Virah Madhuri · Pad 103

tajana ko, jāya na sahaja subhāya

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Irritated in Shyāmasundara’s separation, a maiden of Braja tauntingly states, “Oh sakhi! How can anyone destroy His natural nature of desertion? Shyāmasundara abandoned the very mother Devakī, from whom He took birth and became Yashodā’s son. Similarly, forsaking even His father Vasudeva, He declared Nanda Jī to be His father. He left Mathurā and came to Gokula. Then leaving Gokula, He came to stay in Nandagāṁva. Afterwards, He left Nandagāṁva as well and went back to Mathurā. Now relinquishing even Mathurā, He is beautifying Dwārikā.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to the gopī, “Oh sakhi! All this is fine. But what amazes me is that even after knowing His nature so well, you still regard only Him as your Beloved and also trust Him alone.”
