gayo sakhi! chaturānana saṭhiyāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
An irritated virahiṇī, imprecating Brahmā, says, “Oh sakhi! Brahmā has reached his dotage. Although he has got eight eyes, still he is unable to see anything. Oh sakhi! Only one eye was sufficient to see the world, but in order to see Shyāmasundara, he should have created innumerable eyes (but he did not). Moreover, he covered even those two eyes with eyelids. Does this not prove clearly that Brahmā has gone totally out of his senses?” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the sakhī says, “The only fortunate being in the three worlds is Indra who has got thousands of eyes.”
