Virah Madhuri · Pad 87

kyoṁ piya! itano itarāya re

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

A virahiṇī says, “Oh beloved Shyāmasundara! Why are You putting on so much airs? My eyes are yearning to see You; they are shedding tears day and night. Oh cruel-hearted! If You gave agony, You should have also told its cure. Bless my eyes with the sight of Your fascinating face at least once. Why are You tantalising me so much? The more You smile, the more Your separation injures me.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “If You are unable to come by any means whatsoever, call me at least.”
