ūdho!, tumahiṁ gyāna ko gyāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Gopīs submerged in the bliss of divine love, say to Uddhava, “Oh Uddhava! You are not a man of wisdom in actual sense of the term, because you are still conscious of being knowledgeable. In other words, you have the pride of being a man of wisdom. So long as a man is conscious of the material world, he should be considered a man of ignorance. When the consciousness of the world is totally eradicated, then alone he deserves to be called a knowledgeable man. And when ignorance as well as the above-mentioned knowledge both are absolutely destroyed, then alone he becomes worthy of the title, ‘the knower of Brahma’. This fact is further proved by this perceptual evidence that the manifestation of divine love in someone is exactly proportionate to the attainment of the knowledge of Brahma by him.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that even in the world, the extent of love for something is relative to the amount of knowledge of that particular thing.
