ūdho!, kahiyo shyāma sujāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Sending a message to Shyāmasundara through Uddhava, the maidens of Braja state, “Oh Uddhava! Tell Shyāmasundara that all the creatures - moveable as well as immovable - are as if suffering from the disease of jaundice in His separation,. All of them have become pale. Calves don’t drink their mother’s milk; cows don’t graze grass; creepers, clusters of plants and medicinal herbs have all dried up; even the water of the river Yamunā has dried up; then what to speak about the state of those gopīs and cowherd boys whose very life is He alone! It is better not to say a word about their condition.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the gopīs further state, “He may forget us, but we can never forget Him even in a dream.”
