Virah Madhuri · Pad 1
aṁkhiyāṁ jhara-jhara lāgīṁ barasana
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
One virahiṇī says, “My eyes are shedding continuous streams of tears, longing for the sweet meeting of my Beloved. Let someone inform my Beloved that without Him, my mind refuses to be at ease even for a single moment. I feel frequent attacks of stabbing pain in my heart. I have been longing for Him like this, but my Beloved’s heart does not know any mercy. He had promised to come back within two days, but years have passed and He has not come. The pranas want to leave my body, but the hope of the eyes to see the Beloved does not let them go.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the virahiṇī says, “Oh Beloved! Either come and embrace me, or kill me with Your sudarshana-chakra. I am unable to bear Your separation anymore.”
