Murali Madhuri · Pad 4
alī! yaha, muralī baira parī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh sakhi! This flute is bent on tormenting me. I have already been burning in the fire of Shyāmasundara’s separation, and this condemnable flute, sitting on Shyāmasundara’s lips, is adding fuel to that fire. This shameless one keeps itself spread out on the panaghaṭa, the bank of the Yamunā, the lanes of Braja - everywhere. Wherever one glances, one finds it, spreading its music; it feels no shame at all in remaining fully naked. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Oh sakhi! Let someone steal it away, otherwise it is hard for me to remain alive.
