kuṁvari! tuma, merī jīvana-mūri
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Bhagwan Kṛishṇa says, “Oh Kishorī Jī! You are My very life! It is only to be blessed with a sight of You that I smear the foot-dust of Your maid-servants on My forehead. Therefore, considering Me as Your eternal servant, never keep Me away from You. I am the repository of faults, hence it is natural for Me to commit mistakes; but You are the abode of virtues, therefore, considering Me as Your own and ignoring My sins, never do māna with Me again, nor be so angry!” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Embracing Her beloved Shyāmasundara, Kishorī Jī said, ‘Do not speak so. You are My suhāga and I am the chūrī.”* * Suhāga is equivalent to the blessed state of a married woman when her husband is alive, and chūrī refers to bangles. In India, it is customary for a married woman to always wear bangles until she becomes a widow. Thus, suhāga (marriage) and chūrī (bangles), being so closely related, go hand-in-hand.
