shrī rādhe rānī!, lāgī burī balāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(After the termination of Kishorī Jī’s māna, Shyāmasundara says to Her the following words with extreme love.) Oh Kishorī Jī! It is extremely bad to be lovingly attached to someone. Because, once the fire of love is ignited in the heart, it can never be extinguished even though one may try crores of means. Contrary to this, that fire of separation gets fiercer every moment, burning body, mind and pranas. For lovers, the poisoned fire of māna acts as a female-serpent, infusing poison all over their being. Oh Kishorī Jī! You only know to do māna, try to please someone, then You Yourself will experience as to how bad it is to do māna with someone. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, according to the rules of the material world, says, “Only the person who has suffered himself realizes the suffering of others.”
