lalī binu, pala pala kalapa lakhāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(Shyāmasundara’s lamentation in Kishorī Jī’s separation.) “Oh! Oh! Even a moment is appearing to Me like a kalpa in Kishorī Jī’s separation. Because of regarding Kishorī Jī to be dearer than My life, I cannot even leave My body, for, if I do so, I won’t be able to see Her again. ‘Kishorī Jī will come in a while, impart the bliss of happy union and will talk about many sweet things’ - this faithful hope does not leave Me anyhow. My heart becomes even more restless when I hear the cooing of a cuckoo because of being reminded of the cuckoo-voiced Kishorī Jī. Upon seeing deer, who frequently remind Me of the doe-eyed Kishorī Jī, I writhe even more in pain.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Thus, I can neither live nor die. To whom should I disclose the agony of My heart?”
