Maan Madhuri · Pad 6

batāūṁ, to kahaṁ sakhi! kā bāta

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Māninī Vṛishabhānunandinī says to Lalitā sakhī, “Oh sakhi! What should I tell you? There is nothing worthy to be said about that Prankster. He tells Me in honey-sweet words, ‘You are the only one whom I love’, but continues to go to Chandrāvalī’s house for amorous sports everyday. He has no shame at all. Yesterday, He told Me that He would come at midnight and do whatever pleases Me.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Kishorī Jī adds, “Still, Oh sakhi! He did not come. I kept on waiting and yearning for Him throughout the night.”
