sakhī! tū, kāhe mohiṁ chhupāya?
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
The revelation of a Braja-gopī’s love for Shyāmasundara by her friend- Oh sakhi! Why do you hide your love from me? Am I not your most intimate friend? Then, why should you feel shy in telling me? Even if you don’t tell or admit, I have understood thoroughly that you have been injured by the love-laden looks of some beloved. The way you see, walk, laugh and talk proves that some rasiyā has captured your heart. Oh sakhi! Tell me truly how does your beloved look? What are His complexion and form like? In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the gopī briefly replies. “He is like Shyāmasundara.” (Shyāmasundara can be compared only with Shyāmasundara, therefore it is automatically proved that the beloved of this gopī is none else but Shyāmasundara.)
