mo pai kachhu kai gayo nandakumāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
One sakhī recounts to another, her first sweet meeting with Shyāmasundara – Listen, Oh sakhi! Shyāmasundara has cast, as if some magic spell on me today. When my eyes encountered the Beloved’s eyes, there was an unspoken talk between them. I, being innocent, could not understand anything, and thus, was deceived by my own eyes. Now these eyes, having lost everything – body, mind and soul, are incessantly engaged in crying, weaving garlands of tears. Oh sakhi! What was merely fun for the eyes has become a noose around my neck. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī humorously comments, “Oh sakhi! There is no point in brooding over what has already happened. Have patience in your heart. No one can undo what Brahmā has destined for you.”
