Milan Madhuri · Pad 20

gaī hiya, tīchhī bīchhī māra

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

A sakhī told her intimate friend, “Oh sakhi! I have been stung by an extremely poisonous scorpion whose poison is spreading very rapidly all over my body by each passing moment. Let someone give me some treatment soon.” Hearing this, all her friends consulted among themselves and started treating her in their own respective ways. One sakhī applied different types of medicinal pastes on her body; another tried to eliminate the effect of poison through the power of tantric hymns. But when even after trying all these means, her pain did not lessen, one of the sakhīs told the others that their friend was actually under the spell of a spirit. At that time, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī appeared on the spot and told, “No, she has not been victimized by any spirit, but by Nandapūta (the son of Nanda, Shrī Kṛishṇa), who has attacked her by the arrows of His sharp ogles.”
