gaī maiṁ, giridhara para balihāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A maiden of Braja tells her friend, “Oh sakhi! I sacrificed myself on Shyāmasundara. Oh sakhi! I saw Shyāmasundara, who wears a garland of forest flowers among beautiful bowers, yesterday. As soon as I saw Him, the whole wealth of the three worlds as well as the four types of liberation lost their charm for me. Now, I have totally stopped caring for the prohibitions and injunctions established by the Vedas and sacrifice crores of Brahmānandas (the bliss of Impersonal God) on the beauty of each and every limb of Shyāmasundara’s triple-curved body.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Just as a dumb man, after eating a sugar-candy knows its taste himself, but cannot describe it to others, in the same way, the bliss of divine love is known only to rasikas and cannot be described in words.”
