kou begi bujhāo, hauṁ jarī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī says to her intimate friend, “Oh sakhi! I have been burning through and through, let somebody extinguish this fire immediately. Yesterday, I was standing on the bank of the river Yamunā with my friend. At that very place, Shyāmasundara shot me with the arrows of His eyes. I fell on the ground in a swoon. When I recovered consciousness, He asked, “Do you want to dally with Me?” In answer to this, I neither said ‘no’ nor ‘yes’. There, Shyāmasundara walked off smiling and here, the agony of separation is bent upon taking my life.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “I am exhausted after raining tears from my eyes unceasingly, yet this fire is not extinguished.”
