sakhī! ye bhramara nikara bharamāye
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī says to her intimate friend, “Oh sakhi! Look, all these bees have been under illusion. They have taken the circular spot for the performance of rāsa dance, which is filled with the bliss of divine love, to be a veritable pond, and are therefore running towards it. Presuming the moonlight spread on it to be pure water, they have surrounded it. The red cheeks of the crores of gopīs dancing there appear to them to be actual red lotuses, and the blue cheeks of Shyāmasundara to be real blue lotuses. Similarly, the playful eyes of those crores of gopīs as well as crores of Shyāmasundaras seem to be the cluster of fishes to them and the jingling sound of their ornaments, to be the sweet chirping of birds.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Thus, swarms and swarms of bees, under such illusion, are hovering over the circular spot of rāsa, humming sweetly.”
