sudevī sabai sakhina siramora
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Sudevī is the best among all the friends of Shrī Rādhā. The effulgence of her body is like that of lightning, and she captivates even the heart of Kāmadeva, the god of beauty. The colour of the clothes she wears is like that of saffron. She herself is like the adornment personified. Her work is to braid and decorate the hair of Kishorī Jī and Shyāmasundara. She also applies collyrium in Their eyes which are as beautiful as those of a wagtail, filling the edges of the eyes with the same. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “She is extremely dear to both of Them, and is also tenacious and presumptuous.”
