yugala chhavi, dekhi gaī balihāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Today, I sacrificed myself on the contrary adornment of the Divine Couple. Shrī Kishorī Jī is wearing a peacock-feather-crown on Her head and a yellow apparel around Her waist. On Shyāmasundara’s head is beautified a crown of gold and a blue attire is flowing down from His waist. There, Kishorī Jī has left Her hair unbraided, a guñjamālā is dangling from Her neck and a tilaka of saffron is adorned on Her forehead. Here, Shyāmasundara’s hairs are plaited into a braid, a necklace of pearls is embracing His neck and a red bindī is beautified on His forehead. Shyāmasundara is wearing flower-shaped earrings in His ears while Kishorī Jī has donned dangling earrings. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī affectionately says, “But even after all this, Shyāmasundara could not become fair-complexioned and Kishorī Jī failed to become black-complexioned.”
