Shri Radha Madhuri · Pad 22
pyārī torī, aruṇa adhara-chhavi nyārī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh Kishorī Jī! The beauty of Your red lips is absolutely unique. They remind one of a blossomed bandhūka flower. The redness of Your lips is like that bimba fruit which is born in the earth of nectar, and is reflecting in the dim light of the full moon of Your face. Or the redness of Your lips is like that twilight of childhood and youth, when the full moon of face is also shining. The lines in those red lips seem to be the Hlādinī Shakti (exhilarating energy) and other main potencies. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Instead of saying that Rādhā’s lips are like the bimba fruit, we think it more appropriate to say that the bimba fruit is like Rādhā’s lips.”
