Shri Radha Madhuri · Pad 16
chhabīlī chhavi, ali chhaliyāhuṁ chhalī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī says to her friend, “Oh sakhi! The sweetness of Kishorī Jī’s beauty has forcibly enslaved even Shyāmasundara who captivates the whole world. It turned out to be extremely good for this tricky Shyāmasundara who used to madden all Braja-maidens in bower-lanes by His sweet ogles etc. Now He has well received the fruit of His dodge and duplicity. Excess of everything is certainly bad. Oh sakhi! Now that Trickster always wails saying ‘Hā Vṛishabhānunandinī! Hā Rādhe!’ He has completely forgotten to ogle, smile and play sweet melodies in His flute.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! (this is natural because) How can the fickleness of the river in the form of Shyāmasundara exist after merging into the ocean in the form of Vṛishabhānunandinī?”
