hama dekhe shyāmala gāta re
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
One gopī answering the query of her intimate friend says, “Yes, I have seen Shyāmasundara. He was going behind the cows, playing sweetly on His flute. A golden lathi and a black blanket were beautified on His shoulder, and His pītāmbara was fluttering in the air. He was injuring the hearts of the gopīs with His piercing side-long looks of love, and was smiling mischievously turning around again and again. With Him was the big crowd of His thousands of cowherd friends like Dhanasukha, Manasukha, Shrīdāmā and so forth.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that Shyāmasundara was moving with an intoxicating swan-like gait and was repeatedly looking back at Mother Yashodā, who was standing at the door to see Him off due to parental affection.
