hama kiṅkara kuñjabihārī ke
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
We are the servitors of Kuñjabihārī (Shrī Kṛishṇa) alone. We always remain fearless and undaunted, and have no fear even of fear itself, only by the strength of Banavārī. Singing the attributes of Giridhārī, we stroll jolting in the lanes of Braja. On feeling hungry, we beg alms of food, and eat; and whenever we feel thirsty, we drink water of the river Yamunā. Thus, we do not need a plate and a loṭā (an Indian type of vessel for containing water). Considering various injunctions and prohibitions laid down by the Vedas to be obstacles in the path of love, we remain totally aloof from all the four Vedas. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “We sacrifice ourselves reflecting upon the love-laden līlās of our Beloved, Shyāmasundara.”
