achambho vīra! ahīra nihāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh sakhi! Observe the astonishing effect of Nandakumāra, the son of an ahīra. In the world, a thing fallen in the current of a river can flow only in the direction of the river’s flow, but with me it happened the other way. Oh sakhi! Covering my face with a veil and placing a pitcher on my head, I was going to the panaghaṭa avoiding Naughty Shyāmasundara’s glance very carefully. In the meanwhile, that Trickster struck a melodious note in His flute screening Himself behind creepers. As soon as that musical current of the flute entered my ears, I came under its control and reached near that flute-player, and .... everything was ruined. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! You were still drifted only to a certain distance whereas Bhagwan Shaṅkara had come in the rāsa-circle from Mount Kailāsha, swept in the current of this flute.”
