Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 46
are o, chhaliyā nandakumāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Scolding Shyāmasundara, who is asking for the alms of yoghurt, a sakhī says, “Oh tricky Shyāmasundara! Leaving my passage, stand away from me. Like a robber, You want to eat the yoghurt forcibly by fighting. I am well familiar with You since the beginning-less time. I won’t hesitate in speaking up the harsh truth. Oh Refugee from Goloka! On not being given any place to live by anyone in the three worlds, You took birth in Kansa’s prison. But You could not live even there and had to run away to Gokula the same night. Then, having to leave even that place due to Your treacherous ways, You took refuge in Nandagāoṁ by the grace of King Vṛishabhānu. Nowadays, You earn Your livelihood by grazing Nandabābā’s cows, accompanied by some cowherd boys who are illiterate like You.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the sakhī says, “But this coercion of Yours will not work here because I am like a tigress and You, like a jackal.”
