Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 21
mere nainana tāre jāga re
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Waking up her little son, Mother Yashodā says, “Oh Apple of my eyes, Shyāmasundara! Wake up. See, the morn has opened its eye-lids. Parrots, cuckoos and crows are making noise all over. The cool, gentle and perfumed breeze is blowing. The female partridge, separated from her beloved (the male partridge) throughout the night, is finally meeting him. Look, the rays of the sun are spreading all over and the moon-rays are disappearing. Because of the sunrise, lotuses are blooming and bees are humming on them drinking their pollen.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Saying thus, Mother Yashodā caresses Shyāmasundara’s face with both her hands and kisses it with great love, sacrificing herself on her darling son again and again.”
