Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 15
khambha-maṇi, biharata sundara shyāma
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Shyāmasundara is sporting with His reflection in the jewel-studded pillar. Seeing His reflection in those gem-studded pillars, He screeches with intense joy. Sometimes, regarding His reflection to be some other child, He, saturated with bliss, teases it showing His teeth. Sometimes, He shows His tongue to His own reflection in the same teasing manner. At times producing extremely sweet sound of ‘gūṁ gūṁ’, He says something to the reflection pointing with His tiny fingers. And now and then, seeing that the reflection is acting exactly like Himself, He feels irritated and strikes the jewelled-pillar with His hand and at times, hits it with His foot as well. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that, in this way, sometimes getting pleased and sometimes annoyed with His reflection, the innocent baby Kṛishṇa is giving much joy to extremely fortunate Mother Yashodā.
