lāla! tuma vṛithahiṁ bajāvata gāla
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh Shyāmasundara! You praise Yourself falsely. You have trumpeted forth in the Vedas that You are causelessly merciful. Again, in the Vedas themselves, You have declared Yourself as omnipotent. I am just giving You an indication. You have further extolled Yourself as omniscient in the Vedas. Not only this, You have promulgated Yourself even as the controller of all in those Vedas. Now just think Yourself that even after praising so many above-mentioned powers of Yours, You could not captivate even my heart till now. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, it is not too late as yet. Give me the alms of Your love, otherwise, the world will laugh at You.
