kahata prabhu! chhoṭe muṁha bad̤i bāta

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh Shyāmasundara! I am going to produce proud words from a weak stomach, but listen to them attentively considering me as Your own. Brother! Don’t mind my words. A newborn baby does not know its mother’s breast nor is he familiar with the milk produced from them. Knowing this ignorance of the child, mothers themselves place their breast into the mouth of the child and squeeze a little milk. Similarly, Oh Shyāmasundara, I too have been drinking the juice of poisoned sense-objects. I am totally ignorant, says Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, about the nectar of Your divine love and hope that even You will make me drink a little of the same like a worldly mother.
