kabai hari banihauṁ braja ko mora
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh Shyāmasundara! When will I be blessed with the form of a peacock of Your abode, Braja? Becoming a peacock, when will I feel inebriated with love seeing the dark-cloud-complexioned You, thinking You to be actually a dark cloud? Feeling inebriated with love, when will I dance jolting, twisting and bending my feathers? Dancing in this fashion, when will my mind be swept away in the waves of various sweet feelings? On the rise of those sweet waves in my heart, when will I make great noise, repeatedly saying ‘Shyāma, Shyāma’? Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that when will that day come when I will strip my feathers daily for Your peacock-feathered crown?
