aho hari! hauṁ pātaka avatāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh Lord Shyāmasundara! I am the veritable incarnation of sins. As countless cosmic eggs (Brahmāṇḍas) hang down from every pore of Your divine body, similarly, innumerable Ajāmilas are hanging from every pore of my body. You and Your rasika saints have been unable to change me despite Your countless constant efforts. Like one who is both deaf and dumb, I always followed the whimsical dictates of my mind. Now your whole creation is about to burn into ashes by the fierce fire of my sins. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī humbly states, “Now You should immediately find a quick remedy for it. In other words, accept me as your own, proving the truth of Your title ‘Patita-pāvana’ which means the one who purifies the sinful.”
