Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 139
harī binu bigarī nāhiṁ bane
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Without the attainment of Shyāmasundara, the grief existing since the beginning-less time cannot end. Although the Vedas have prescribed the practice of action, knowledge and devotion, yet māyā cannot be destroyed by one’s own efforts. We are habituated to presume true happiness in wealth, son, wife and husband. The intellect tried to make the mind understand in various ways, but the mind refuses to listen. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to the Supreme Lord, “Oh Shyāmasundara! The mind cannot be a true lover of Your lotus-feet without Your grace.”
