mana! kāhe karata gumāna re!
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! What are you so proud of? In Satayuga, there had been a demon known as Hiraṇyakashipu. He was the mightiest in the three worlds. But the Supreme God, appearing from the pillar in the form of Nṛisinha (man + lion) shattered even his vanity in a moment. Again, in Tretāyuga, there existed a rākshasa named Rāvana who was fear-inspiring even to Brahmā and Vishnu. But even his egotism was destroyed in just one instant by Bhagwan Rāma who killed him with only one arrow. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh foolish mind! Come to your senses even now and practise devotion to Shyāmasundara uninterruptedly.”
