dharo mana! gaura-charana ko dhyāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A devotee, addressing his mind, says – “Oh my mind! Continuously meditate on those lotus-feet of Shrī Rādhā that are always meditated upon even by the Supreme God Bhagwan Kṛishṇa. Wandering in the maze of the world and receiving kicks of the worldly people on your head countless times, you have wasted innumerable lives. Sometimes born of uterus like men and higher animals, sometimes born of egg like crows and ducks, sometimes born of moisture like worms and insects, and sometimes born of earth like plants and trees, you have been wandering through the eighty-four lakh types of existences just like a dog, but you never took shelter in the lotus-feet of Kishorī Jī. And even now you do not give ears to my advice. Oh my mind! Do not hesitate in going to Kishorī Jī thinking yourself to be a great sinner and full of vices, because in Kishorī Jī’s court, destitute, sinners and fallen souls alone get respect and recognition. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh mind! You regard yourself to be very wise, why, then, do you not avail of this great opportunity?”
