Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 43
chhāṁd̤u mana! ṭhaginī māyā āsa
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! Don’t have any expectations from this deceiving māyā. Giving you the hope of divine happiness, this māyā disappoints you repeatedly. It binds you in the bondage of its three modes, sattva, raja and tama, by giving the enjoyment of worldly opulence up to those of the abode of Brahmā. It gives you heaven which is temporary, by making you perform the ritualistic actions enjoined in the Vedas. Therefore now, abandoning all desires, and having complete faith in your Spiritual Master, practise devotion to Shyāmasundara unceasingly for twenty-four hours a day. Then, says Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, you will be able to attain divine love by the grace of merciful Shyāmasundara.
