gayo braja māhiṁ brahma baurāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Even the All-pervading, Omnipotent God has gone crazy in Braja. Brahma has been declared by the Vedas as Imperceptible, Inconceivable, Indescribable and Impracticable. That same Brahma, becoming naughty, is pestering Mother Yashodā to give Him butter catching hold of the hem of her garment. Brahma who has been declared by the Vedas as beyond senses, mind and intellect, is dancing saying ‘thei thei’ just for a handful of buttermilk. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “What to say more, that same Brahma is feeling enraptured with joy in receiving the titles, ‘thief’, ‘promiscuous’ etc. by the maidens of Braja.”
