Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 23
are mana! suna sūdhī-sī-bāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! Listen to a simple thing. You are the servant of soul; therefore you work every moment for the happiness of your proprietress, the soul. But you are not aware of the fact that just as you are the eternal slave of the soul, in the same way, the soul too, is an eternal servant of the Supreme soul, God. Therefore, the happiness of the soul lies only in God. All worldly opulence are made of māyā, hence they have neither happiness nor sorrow in them, but you want the soul to experience happiness, which is synonymous with God, by providing it with these very material riches – what nonsense can be greater than this? Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, Oh mind! Now abandon this obstinacy and practise devotion to Shyāmasundara continuously.
