ūpara te chandrikā chamaka lakhi, indra dhanusha dauṁ vāra.

uta ‘Kṛipālu’ sindūra aruṇimā, mohati nandakumāra.

I offer myself on the beautiful flower adorning Kishorī Jī’s head. Her

braided hair wreathed delicately with flowers flows in a very graceful

manner. It appears to be like the river Yamunā flowing down from its

source (Yamunotrī). The golden crown studded with precious jewels

glitters and shines radiantly. The dazzling light from the chandrikā in

the centre of Her crown outshines even the brightness of a rainbow. The

red powder applied in the parting of Her hair bewitches the heart of

Shyāmasundara.
