Prakirna Madhuri · Pad 12

nirmohiyā soṁ nehā lagāya, hāya! maiṁ luṭi gaī rī

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

A gopī says, “Oh friend! I am completely undone by loving the heartless Shyāmasundara. One day, I was going all alone to Barasānā for selling curd when He suddenly appeared on the way with a stick in His hand and said, ‘Oh sakhi! Behold! how beautiful this bower is! I am alone here and so are you, and this you may know for sure that one plus one becomes two.’ Hearing these audacious words, I scolded Him saying, ‘Oh flirt! Go away! My husband is following me with a cudgel in his hand. I will call him out this very instant and he will teach You a good lesson for being here alone with me.’ At this, He said, ‘Now I have already made you my own, whether you have Me beaten or you accept Me as your own. If that makes you happy, I will even allow Myself to be beaten.’ Hearing these words, I totally surrendered myself to Him. Inebriated with love, I looked at Him and He looked at me.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, after that, unable to bear that boundless bliss, I fell on the ground in a swoon, saying ‘oh!’
