ūdho!, hama matimanda gamāra

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Sending a message to their beloved Nandakumāra, the maidens of Braja state, “Oh Uddhava! Tell that husband of Kubjā that all of us are extremely foolish and illiterate. We are not even familiar with the names of the Vedas and scriptures. We cannot even differentiate between knowledge and ignorance. But we can surely say this much that if He had to teach us yoga and detachment, why did He love us so much at first? He is really blessed! We offer ourselves unto Him! Uddhava! How is it possible for us to learn about knowledge as He desires, when He keeps our mind and intellect with Him?” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “The only one who is capable of knowing without the mind and intellect is all-capable Shyāmasundara.”
