ūdho!, yaha kahiyo sandesha

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Sending a message to Shyāmasundara through Uddhava, the maidens of Braja state, “Oh Uddhava! Tell Shyāmasundara that He unnecessarily troubled Himself in sending us the message of practising yoga because maidens of Braja have already become yoginīs. All of them neither eat anything, nor drink, nor sleep even for a moment. Observing complete silence and sitting indifferently, they remain absorbed in deep thinking. They have abandoned adorning their bodies all together. They continuously repeat Shyāmasundara’s name and burn in the fire of only His separation.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, (the Braja-maidens add), “When their own body has become ash-like by burning in the fire of separation, what need is there for them to rub ashes on their body. Seeing their natural state of yoga, even Bhagwan Shaṅkara feels embarrassed.”
