Milan Madhuri · Pad 8
kahūṁ kā, vā dina kī sakhi! bāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī, telling her friend about her first sweet meeting with Shyāmasundara, says, “Oh sakhi! What to tell you about that day when I saw the captivating sight of Shyāmasundara smiling slowly! What to speak of myself, even the eyes which saw that fascinating form cannot describe it. The beauty of each and every limb of His was putting even the god of beauty, Kāmadeva, out of countenance. And again, oh sakhi! I could not see Him even after looking at Him continuously because no sooner did the eyes fall on Him than they started shedding tears of joy.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “And even now, when He is not before them, the eyes are raining tears of separation and I am spending every moment of His separation like one kalpa.”
