Nikunj Madhuri · Pad 24
yugalavara, bhījata kuñja majhāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
It is drizzling and the sparkling raindrops are falling on Shrī Shyāmā-Shyāma, who are standing underneath a flowery grove. Shyāmasundara is protecting Kishorī Jī from the raindrops by covering Her head with His pītāmbara, while the delicate Kishorī Jī tries to shield Shyāmasundara by covering Him with Her red-coloured chunarī. In the sublime state of adoration, each says to the other; ‘You do not cover (Me)’. Thus, both are fighting with each other in the mode of utter love. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that Bhagwan Shaṅkara is witnessing this scene stealthily, assuming the form of a gopī.
