raṅgadevī sakhiyana saranāma
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Raṅgadevī is the most famous among all the gopīs. Her body-hue is like that of the lotus-pollen and her beauty puts to shame the beauty of millions of Kāmadevas combined. She dons the clothes of extremely beautiful colour like that of an indravadhūṭī (a scarlet-red velvety insect). She adorns Shyāmā-Shyāma with different types of ornaments everyday. There is no other gopī of her calibre in the art of adornment. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “She always lives with Kishorī Jī.”
