yamuna jala, biharata nandakumāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Shyāmasundara is engaged in performing aquatic līlās in the river Yamunā. The dense clouds, roaring and thundering in the sky, as if to threaten Shyāmasundara, is presenting an extremely lovely sight. The unsteady lightning is flashing scintillatingly in the sky and the rain is falling in light drizzle. The group of gopīs is tossing handfuls of water on Shyāmasundara with both hands. Shyāmasundara, swiftly moving in all directions, and bending and swaying in an enchanting manner, alone is throwing water on all of them, whooping repeatedly. It appears as if a peacock accompanied by many peahens is dancing with its plumage fully spread. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that when, after continuously throwing water on all of them for a long time, Shyāmasundara finally accepted defeat, all the maidens of Braja began to laugh.
