base re mere, nainana dou sarakāra

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Shrī Rādhā-Kṛishṇa have made my eyes Their permanent abode. Inebriated with the bliss of divine love, They are beautified with Their arms around each other’s neck and are belittling the beauty of even personified Beauty and Adornment. The melodious music of the sweet flute being played by Shyāmasundara has totally enraptured the hearts of the gopīs by drowning them in supreme felicity. The gentle sweet smile and the love-laden piercing glance of the Divine Couple are so infatuating that one cannot but be totally bewitched by them. One, who being thus forcibly fascinated, surrenders his total self to the Divine Couple, is blessed by Them with the eternal enjoyment of the infinitely sweet bliss of the divine rāsa. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that being thus blessed, wherever that fortunate soul, now called a sakhī, turns her eyes, she beholds nothing but the Divine Couple. In this way, she ceaselessly drinks the nectar of Their sweetest divine love with her mind and intellect remaining completely unconscious to the material world but fully awakened spiritually.
