Yugal Madhuri · Pad 7

banī kasa, jorī yugala-kishora

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh! How bewitching the pair of Shrī Rādhā-Kṛishṇa is! Beautified with Their arms around each other’s neck, Both are steeped in the bliss of divine love and are forcibly fascinating my heart. Both of Them are beholding each other’s side-long look of love with Their slanting glance. The blue effulgence of Shyāmasundara’s face is being reflected on Kishorī Jī’s face and the yellow lustre of Kishorī Jī’s face is enhancing the beauty of Shyāmasundara’s face. The garments of yellow colour are adorned on Shyāmasundara’s blue body, while those of blue colour, on Kishorī Jī’s fair body. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to the sakhī who is drinking the nectar of the Divine Couple’s beauty, “Oh sakhi! Their sidelong look of love is dangerous. Put a black mark on Their forehead so that They do not become the victim of an evil eye.”
